Who is responsible?

NL Worker Compass is responsible for the personal data that we process via this website. Use the contact form on the About us page for questions about privacy or a request about your data. Select the subject Privacy request.

What data do we use and why?

In the event of a contact inquiry, we process your name, email address, subject and message to respond, investigate a reported error or discuss a collaboration. To this end, we use our legitimate interest to handle questions and improve the website. Our legal obligation under the GDPR also applies to handling privacy requests. Without the mandatory form data, we cannot process your question via this form. Do not send BSN, medical data, passwords or identity documents.

Calculators, search and local storage

Entered salary amounts and calculations remain in your browser. The checklist and your collective agreement selection can be saved locally on your device; you can reset them or delete the website data in your browser. Search terms are sent to the website to find results. Hosting and security services process technical data, such as IP address, browser type, URL visited and time, for operation and security. The temporary limit on repeated form submissions uses a hashed IP key that expires in approximately one minute.

Which services receive data?

Postmark (AC PM LLC) sends contact messages to our mailbox at TransIP. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide the hosting. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical signals to prevent misuse of the form; Turnstile will not receive the content of your message as part of spam checking. For security, we use our legitimate interest to protect the website and visitors. These parties may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. The applicable processor terms and conditions describe the safeguards, including European standard contractual clauses for transfers that require them. How long do we keep contact messages?

We remove resolved contact enquiries from our mailbox no later than six months after resolution. We will only keep a message that demonstrably remains necessary for an ongoing dispute or a legal obligation for as long as necessary. Postmark uses a separate retention period for email delivery activity and message content; the standard period is 45 days. Technical security data and any backups follow the retention periods of the hosting and security service concerned. You can request information or deletion of your own data via the contact form.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest and, where applicable, request data portability. In principle, we respond within one month. In the case of a complex request, we will let you know within that month why more time is needed. We may request proportionate additional information to establish your identity; do not send an unsolicited copy of your ID. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Google Analytics: only with your permission

We only load Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited with your permission. We measure pages visited and scrolling behavior, using a cookie ID, technical device and browser data, and global traffic sources. Google processes technical data such as your IP address; GA4 does not store IP addresses. We do not send calculator amounts, form content or search texts to Analytics and remove URL parameters and fragments from the measured page addresses. Google Signals, ad personalization, and the collection of user-provided data are disabled. The legal basis is your consent. If you refuse, we will not load Analytics or send Analytics pings. You can give or withdraw your consent via Cookie Settings at the bottom of each page. Revoke stops measurement and deletes our Analytics cookies on this device, but does not automatically delete previously collected data. Your choice will be stored locally for a maximum of 180 days. Analytics cookies (_ga and _ga_…) expire a maximum of 180 days after placement. We store user and event data in Analytics for 14 months, without extending this period for new activity. Standard reports with aggregated data can remain available longer. Google may process data outside the EEA; the Google processing terms and applicable transfer safeguards apply. Advertisements and automatic decisions

We don't currently use ad tags. Contact messages are not used for a mailing list. The calculators only provide an indication; we do not make decisions about your employment conditions or rights based on the outcomes. If our use of personal data changes, we will adjust this statement and request consent where necessary.
